Classes

regular class begins as soon as we have enough participants. If you are interested, just drop us a mail – we will let you know when we can start. Or why not try one of the classes that are already running? Your first trial lesson is free!
Our specials are 3-hour or 5-hour classes for specific topics: Trial lessons are not possible in these.
Make sure you do not miss out on our short intensive beginners classes, e.g. during "Wiesbaden tanzt" and the "Tanztag Rhein-Main"!
From time to time we invite renowned guest teachers for workshops - Colin Dunne and Ronan McCormack are here on a regular basis.
And once every year, students of our school get the opportunity to take part in an intensive training course in Dublin.
If you like céilí dancing (Irish figure dances), look in on one of our céilí evenings! If you like improvising your percussive dancing, you'll love our jam sessions.

Or if you need to find more peace and quiet through dancing, Tanja's meditative round dances might be the thing for you.

There are no classes during the school holidays in Hessen.
And in case you are looking for more than just a favourite pastime: We offer an Irish dance instructors course in cooperation with the Irish National Folk Company, Dublin. These dates are also listed below.

Out of all the covid-pandemic rules, we retain just one:
If you feel ill in any way, please do not come to class. No one wants to get your bug!
But you can still dance with us: The Fiddle and Feet School is now going hybrid! Which means that you can now also participate online in most of our classes. That opens up new possibilities for those who live further away...

Irish Dancing Instructor Course

The structure of this course follows the syllabus of the Irish National Folk Company Dublin and includes tuition in softshoe, hardshoe and céilí dancing, music theory, anatomy and educational theory. If you pass the final exam, you qualify for an INFC instructor's certificate (graded exam). If you register through an ADTV dance school, the course will qualify you for a "Fachtanzlehrer" certificate.
Except for recap units, you can also register for individual units of the instructors course.

We enhance our awareness and inner balance through meditation. You will try out several meditative techniques walking, sitting, and lying down. Specific awareness exercises and visualisation techniques will appeal to your self-healing powers. Learn to watch and not judge yourself. Have you got in your heart a beloved spot on this earth which you would love to put up on the wall of your home? You have photos, but none of them is quite as you want it? Or you remember it just a bit different from the photo?
Then why don't you try and paint it? You decide about the picture's composition. Your colours, light and shade create the perfect atmosphere for your perfect place.
The creative process will bring this place nearer to you and anchor it in your soul - and the painterly quality of the picture is not as important as your own inner process. You go to this place by painting it. Have courage and give it a try!
Materials for the course are included in the course fee - but of course you can also bring the materials you yourself are familiar with.
