The structure of this course follows the syllabus of the Irish National Folk Company Dublin and includes tuition in softshoe, hardshoe and céilí dancing, music theory, anatomy and educational theory. If you pass the final exam, you qualify for an INFC instructor's certificate (graded exam). If you register through an ADTV dance school, the course will qualify you for a "Fachtanzlehrer" certificate.
Except for recap units, you can also register for individual units of the instructors course. If you are interested in the program, let us know and we'll send you the syllabus. If there are any questions about course details, just drop us a mail: natalie@fiddle-and-feet.de

Irish Stepdancing (hardshoe, softshoe, céilí) intensive at "Irish in den Mai".
This course is taught by Natalie Westerdale, Lovis Hauck and Petra Marquardt, all senior instructors of the Irish National Folk Company, Dublin.
At the same time, Sabrina Palm and Ekhart Topp will be teaching the Irish dance music ensemble class.

Open Air Concert: Paddy goes to Holyhead meets Fiddle & Feet
For 35 years, the Irish folk band "Paddy goes to Holyhead" has been successfully performing all over Germany. It is their fifth summer festival concert at the Freilichtmuseum. Due to last years' success, they will again be preceded by Fiddle & Feet and their flying percussive feet. Paddy goes to Holyhead are: Paddy Schmidt (guitar, vocals, mouth organ), Almut Ritter (fiddle) and Uwe Bender (bass). Fiddle & Feet are the two percussive dancers Natalie Westerdale and Lovis Hauck as well as the musicians Ed Westerdale (fiddle, guitar, vocals) and Martin Bauer (bass, vocals). These most exciting acts of Germany's folk scene will take their audience for a musical trip from Scotland, with the "Titanic" over the ocean to American jazz and tap, to Canadian folk music and Cape Breton Stepdancing, and back to Ireland with dance elements from "Riverdance" and lots of tasty tunes. Food and drink, especially Irish beer, will be provided by the museum's retaurant. There will also be a whisky tasting with Mike Pauli.
